Research Data Management

The SFB 1381 „Dynamic Organization of Cellular Protein Machineries“ produces unique research data at the intersection of biology, chemistry, physics and medicine. To ensure that all produced and used data in our project is handled according to the FAIR principles (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable), the SFB 1381 has adopted a SFB 1381 Research Data Management Policy, which is followed by all SFB 1381 members.

To provide training and resources regarding Research Data Management (RDM), we work closely together with the Central Data Facility (CDF) at the University of Freiburg and the RDM services at the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Freiburg

SFB 1381 Proteome Viewer

This proteome viewer has been developed by our Z01 project and is specifically designed to share, view and analyse the proteomics data generated in the SFB 1381.

PRIDE — PRoteomics IDEntifications Database

The PRIDE Archive is a public database for mass spectrometry proteomics data, including protein identifications, expression values, and supporting spectra. It is part of the ProteomeXchange consortium, enabling standardized data submission. Proteomic data, generated in the SFB 1381, is uploaded to PRIDE when openly published.

BW Sync and Share

Documents are shared via BW Sync and Share in the SFB 1381. This service is open to all members of the University of Freiburg and allows sharing and collaborating with invited guests.

eLABFTW

eLabFTW is a free, open-source electronic lab notebook, recommended for the members of the SFB 1381.

OMERO

OMERO,  standing for O(pen) M(icroscopy) E(nvironment) R(emote) O(bjects), is a client-server software for managing, visualizing and analyzing microscopy images and associated metadata.

The members of the SFB 1381 have access to two OMERO servers, provided by CIBSS:

use.omero.uni-freiburg.de

This internal server is available for securely storing, managing, and analyzing imaging data generated within the University of Freiburg.

cibss.omero.uni-freiburg.de

This platform enables researchers to share imaging data associated with scientific publications, making it openly accessible to the wider scientific community.
