High-Resolution Proteomics of Dynamic Protein Machineries

Project Summary

Mass spectrometry (MS) is an indispensable technology for investigating assembly and dynamics of protein machineries. Project Z01 will provide a broad spectrum of established high-end MS-based methods (quantitative proteomics, interactomics, PTM characterization) to the projects of the CRC. Moreover, we will develop and establish two key technology platforms: high-resolution complexome profiling [based on BN-PAGE, cryo-microtome gel sampling and quantitative MS analysis (csBN-MS)], and structural proteomics involving advanced cross-linking MS and native MS methods to characterize native protein complexes.
